1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC, our divisions and affiliates (collectively, “1-800-PACK-RAT,” “us,” “we,” “our”) has established this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to apply to all users of our services and websites, including 1800packrat.com, acemoversinc.com, storagesquad.com, and zippyshell.com (our “Websites”), and all digital assets contained or offered therein (collectively, our “Services”), except as described below. This Privacy Policy describes, among other things, how we collect, access, use, and disclose your Personal Information when you use our Services, and informs you of privacy rights you may have and how to exercise them.
This Privacy Policy is integrated into our Terms & Conditions of Use (“Terms of Use”).
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could be reasonably linked with a particular person or household. Personal Information does not include de-identified or aggregated information and, to the extent permitted by law, does not include publicly available information.

1. Independent Franchisees
The 1-800-PACK-RAT name, as well as the names of our other divisions such as Ace Moving & Storage, Storage Squad, and Zippy Shell Incorporated, in addition to the designs, logos, and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of 1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC. 1-800-PACK-RAT licenses independent franchisees to provide 1-800-PACK-RAT or Zippy Shell products and services to the public (“Franchisees”). Franchisees may operate websites that are separate and distinct from our Websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to our Websites, not to Franchisee websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of our Franchisees. Any Personal Information a Franchisee collects from you online or offline is subject to that Franchisee’s policies. I. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
1-800-PACK-RAT collects certain information from you when you use our Services. This may include: (1) information you provide to us, (2) information we automatically collect from your browser or device, and (3) information we receive from third parties.
1. Information You Provide to Us: We may collect, and have collected in the twelve (12) months prior to the date of this Privacy Policy, the following categories of Personal Information that you provide to us:
- Personal identifiers and contact information such as name, email address, phone number, and home address.
- Business contact information such as name, company name, job title, business email address, business mailing address, and business phone number.
- Payment information and transactional history such as order number, order information, order history, pick-up address, and delivery address. Please note that all financial transactions conducted in connection with orders placed on our Websites are securely and directly collected and processed by our third-party payment processor(s). We do not store any credit card information from such transactions on our servers.
- Contents of your communications with us, your preferences, and other information you provide to us (including via online chat feature) such as opinions and feedback on our Services, your communication preferences (such as in receiving updates or marketing information), and any other information that you share with us when you contact us (such as for customer support services).
- Additional information as otherwise described to you at the point of collection or pursuant to your consent.
Sensitive Personal Information: We may need to collect or process information that is deemed “Sensitive Personal Information” under certain laws. Sensitive Personal Information that we may collect or process include:
- Payment Information including debit or credit card information in combination with any required security or access code collected for purpose of processing payment for our products or Services.
- Authentication data such as account Personal Information and log in credentials, including unique identifiers such as username, account number, and password.
2. Information We Automatically Collect
When you visit the Websites, we may automatically gather and store certain information about your visit from your browser or device. We use this information for the operation of the Services, to maintain quality of the Services, and to provide statistics on the use of our Services. This information may include:

Website pages may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or gather other related statistics (for example, statistics that record the popularity of certain content or that verify system and server integrity). We also use these technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns, such as the frequency with which our users visit various parts of the Services. These technical methods may involve the transmission of information either directly to us or to a third party authorized by us to collect information on our behalf. Our Services use retargeting pixels from Google, Facebook, and other ad networks. We also use web beacons in HTML emails that we send to determine whether the recipients have opened those emails and/or clicked on links in those emails.
- Third Party Analytics Providers. We work with third party analytics service providers, including but not limited to Google Analytics, to help us better understand how you use our Services. Please note that some features of our Websites may not be available to you as a result of these choices.
3. Information We Receive from Third Parties
We may collect additional information about you from third-party websites, social media platforms, and/or sources providing publicly available information (e.g., from the U.S. postal service) to help us provide our Services to you, help prevent fraud, and/or for marketing and advertising purposes. In addition, we may receive Personal Information such as personal identifiers (i.e. name) and contact information (i.e. email, phone number) from a 1-800-PACK-RAT affiliate, Franchisee, customer, vendor, a consumer reporting agency, or other third party from which you request or requested moving services. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy and security practices of other websites, social media platforms, or third parties, or the information they may collect from you. Links on our Websites to any other websites or content do not constitute or imply an endorsement or recommendation by us of the linked website, social media platform, and/or content.
II. USE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1-800-PACK-RAT may use, and may have used in the twelve (12) months prior to the date of this Privacy Policy, your Personal Information in a variety of ways, including:
- To Provide You with Services: We may use your Personal Information to maintain your account, process and fulfill your orders and requests, provide you with the Services, verify your identity to use the Services, provide you with customer service, and for troubleshooting, support services, and maintenance.
- To Communicate with You and Send You Materials: We may use your Personal Information to communicate with you, including regarding quotes, your account, your orders, and/or to obtain your feedback. We may also use your information to fulfill your requests, including requests to receive our newsletter and other materials, or to send you marketing or promotional communications (in compliance with applicable law). Should you no longer wish to receive these marketing or promotional communications, you may opt out as described in the “Opting-Out” section below.
- To Manage Our Business and Improve Our Products and Services: We may use your Personal Information to manage our business, including to perform accounting, auditing, and other internal and administrative tasks. We may also use your information to evaluate and improve our products and services (including our Websites), conduct research and perform analysis, learn more about our users and customers, identify new customers, and enhance the customer experience (including to better optimize and target our marketing). 2. Disclosure of Personal Information
1-800-PACK-RAT may disclose, and may have disclosed in the twelve (12) months prior to the date of this Privacy Policy, the categories of Personal Information described in the “Categories of Personal Information” section above with the following categories of third parties:
- To Our Service Providers and Vendors: 1-800-PACK-RAT may share certain Personal Information with third party service providers that perform certain functions or services acting on our behalf (such as payment processors, call center operators, consultants, professional advisers, data analytics providers, and other service providers and vendors). These third-party service providers are authorized to use your Personal Information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
- To Our Affiliates: 1-800-PACK-RAT may share your Personal Information with our affiliates or another member within our group of companies (e.g., with our subsidiaries) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- With Our Franchisees: 1-800-PACK-RAT may share your Personal Information with a Franchisee for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- To Third Parties or Government Entities for Legal or Administrative Reasons: We may disclose your information without notice: (i) when required by law or to comply with a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process; (ii) to cooperate or undertake an internal or external investigation or audit; (iii) to comply with legal, regulatory, or administrative requirements of governmental authorities (including, without limitation, requests from the governmental agency authorities to view your Information); (iv) to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of us, our subsidiaries and affiliates, and any of their officers, directors, employees, attorneys, agents, contractors, and partners, and the website Service users; (v) to enforce or apply our Terms of Use; and (vi) to verify the identity of the user of our Services.
- To Third Parties for Business Transfers: Your Information may be transferred, sold, or otherwise conveyed (“Conveyed”) to a third party where we: (i) merge with or are acquired by another business entity; (ii) sell all or substantially all of our assets; (iii) are adjudicated bankrupt; or (iv) are liquidated or otherwise reorganize.
- To Other Entities With Your Consent: We may share your Personal Information consistent with this Privacy Policy or with your consent.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information in which your specific Personal Information is blinded, masked, or otherwise not identifiable for any purpose. 1-800-PACK RAT does not use or disclosure Sensitive Personal Information, other than for the business purposes permitted by law as described above.
3. Categories of Personal Information Shared or Sold
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “sell,” “sold,” or “sale” means the disclosure of Information for monetary or other valuable consideration but does not include, for example, the transfer of Information as an asset that is part of a merger, bankruptcy, or other disposition of all or any portion of our business. “Sharing” means disclosing or making available Information to a third-party for purposes of cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. While we do not disclose information to third parties in exchange for monetary compensation, we disclose identifiers and Internet and network activity information to third-party advertising networks and analytics providers for purposes of marketing and advertising, and to improve and measure our ad campaigns. Such disclosures may be considered “sales” or “sharing” of Information under applicable laws. We do not sell or share sensitive Information, nor do we sell or share Information about individuals we know are under age sixteen (16). We may "sell" or "share" the following categories of Personal Information to such parties for marketing, advertising, and personalization: personal identifiers, contact information, and usage and technical information. III. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
1. Marketing Communications: To keep you informed regarding our Services and promotions, we send marketing communications to customers and prospective customers. You may receive our marketing communications by email, mail, and/or phone. You may opt-out of promotional email communications by clicking on a link provided in the marketing email message. After opting-out, you will no longer receive marketing or promotional communications, but will continue to receive other non-marketing-related messages, such as emails relating to your orders, your account, or your use of the Services.
2. Text Messages: You may sign up to receive text messages from 1-800-PACK RAT or third-party service providers on behalf of 1-800-PACK RAT (e.g., text message marketing). By using our Services, signing up for text messaging services, or otherwise opting in to receive text messages (opting in via short code or entering your phone number into an on-site collection widget), you agree that you have 1-800-PACK RAT or its third-party service providers with prior express written consent to be contacted by text message, including recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing text messages. By providing prior express and/or prior express written consent, you agree to receive text messages under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and related state laws, including by the use of an automatic telephone dialing system (“ATDS”) to deliver text messages to the mobile phone number which you provided to 1-800-PACK Rat. While you consent to receive messages sent using an ATDS (or “autodialer”), the foregoing shall not be interpreted to suggest or imply that any or all of 1-800-PACK RAT’s mobile messages are sent using an autodialer. We will use the Information provided by you in connection with the text messaging services in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase or use of our Services and your consent to be contacted as described is voluntary. The number of text messages you receive may vary based upon the text messaging service(s) you sign up for. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke your consent and opt out to discontinue text messages at any time. If you no longer want to receive text messages from us, reply STOP (or as otherwise instructed).

IV. DO NOT TRACK DISCLOSURE
Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want your online activity to be tracked across websites. Certain web browsers may provide this option. When the preference is selected, the browser acts to inform websites that you do not wish your activities to be tracked, either with cookies or other persistent identifiers, commonly called “DNT signals.” Our Websites currently do not respond to DNT signals. DNT is different from Global Privacy Controls (“GPC”), which may notify websites of consumers’ privacy preferences regarding the sale or sharing of Personal Information, or the use of Sensitive Personal Information.
V. SAFEGUARDING YOUR INFORMATION
We use commercially reasonable and appropriate administrative, physical, and technical security measures to provide our Services and safeguard your information. However, please note that there is always some risk in transmitting information over the Internet and no data transmitted over the Internet or stored or maintained by us or our third-party service providers can be 100% secure. Therefore, 1-800-PACK-RAT cannot guarantee the security and privacy of transmissions via the Internet, and you should not expect that your information or private communications will always remain private or secure. We do not guarantee that your information will not be misused by third parties. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security features. You agree that you will not hold 1-800-PACK-RAT liable for any damages resulting from any loss of privacy or security occurring in connection with any communications over such networks. If you believe that your Information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized person, you should promptly Contact Us so that necessary measures can quickly be taken.
VI. DATA RETENTION
We will retain your Information for as long as needed to provide you Services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. We will retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Personal Information you have submitted to us. We are under no obligation to store such information indefinitely and disclaim any liability arising out of, or related to, the destruction of such Information.
VII. EXCLUSIONS
Our Services may contain links to websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us, including links to Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, or may redirect you off our website away from our Services. Because 1-800-PACK-RAT has no control over the privacy practices or content of these linked sites, we recommend that you carefully review the privacy policy of each website you visit. 1-800-PACK-RAT is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of websites owned by other companies. Links to any other websites or content do not constitute or imply an endorsement or recommendation by us of the linked website, Social Media Platform, and/or content.
VIII. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
This Privacy Policy addresses 1-800-PACK-RAT’s procedures for handling the Personal Information of customers who are at least sixteen (16) years old. We do not seek to, nor do we knowingly collect, information from users under sixteen (16). If we become aware that a user is under sixteen (16) (or a higher age threshold where applicable) and has provided us with Personal Information, we will take steps to comply with any applicable legal requirement to remove such information. If a user under the age of sixteen (16) has provided us with Personal Information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us to have the information deleted from our records. To do so, contact 1-800-PACK-RAT through the information provided below in the “Contact Us” section. 1-800-PACK-RAT does not knowingly sell or share data of users under the ages of sixteen (16).

X. NOTICE OF PRIVACY RIGHTS FOR RESIDENTS OF CERTAIN U.S. STATES
Residents of certain U.S. States may have rights and choices regarding their Information. To the extent any data protection law applies to our collection of your Information, this supplemental section of our Privacy Policy outlines the individual rights you may be entitled to and how to exercise those rights. - Right to Request Deletion. You may have the right to request that 1-800-PACK-RAT delete certain Information or records provided by or obtained about you, with certain exceptions and limitations allowed under the law.

To the extent that we may maintain inaccurate Personal Information, you may have the right to request that we correct such inaccurate Information, taking into account the nature of the Information and the purposes of the processing of the Personal Information.
- Right to Opt-Out of the Sale and Sharing of Your Information. You may have the right to opt-out of the processing of your Information for the purpose of selling or sharing of your Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To the extent that our use of certain online tracking technologies are deemed to be a “sale” or “sharing” under certain data protection laws, you may opt out of these online tracking technologies by submitting a request via the 1-800-PACK-RAT Privacy Web Form or by broadcasting an opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC)
- Right to Opt-Out of the use of Information for Targeted Advertising and Profiling. You may have the right to opt out of the processing of your Information for purposes of targeted advertising or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. We do not use your Information for profiling purposes.
- Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Information. You may have the right to request that we limit the ways we use and disclose your sensitive Information to uses which are necessary for us to perform the Services, or deliver the goods reasonably expected by you, or and as authorized by law. As noted above we do not use or disclose your sensitive Information, other than for the business purposes permitted by law.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. You may have a right to not be discriminated against in the Services or quality of Services you receive from us for exercising your rights. 1-800-PACK-RAT will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights described in this section including denying you goods or Services, charging you different prices or rates for goods or Services, or providing a different level of goods and Services. However, we may offer a different price, rate, level, quality, or selection of goods or Services, including offering goods or Services for no fee, if you have exercised your right to opt out or the offer is related to your voluntary participation in a bona fide loyalty, rewards, premium features, discounts, or club card program.
- Right to Disclosure of Direct Marketers. You may have a right to know the categories and names/addresses of third parties that have received Information for their direct marketing purposes upon simple request, and free of charge.
- Right to Appeal. You may have the right to appeal our denial of any request you make under this section. To exercise your right to appeal, please submit an appeal request by emailing or calling us at the contact information listed in the Exercising Your Data Subject Rights section below. Within the certain timeframe of receipt of your appeal, as prescribed by the applicable law we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to your appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Attorney General or another authority which we will help you identify.

1. Notice of Financial Incentive
As an incentive for providing us with your Personal Information, you may receive a financial benefit in the form of an email coupon, discount, rebate, promotions, or other similar reward that will be sent to you. This discount may constitute a financial incentive under the CCPA (“Financial Incentive”). The categories of Personal Information required for us to provide the Financial Incentives include personal identifiers such as contact information including email address and phone number as well as personal and demographic information such as current and future zip code. To offer these discounts, we may track your Personal Information, such as purchase history and other demographic data. You have the right to withdraw from the Financial Incentive at any time by submitting a request to marketing@1800packrat.com. Please note that if you request deletion of part or all your Personal Information, that could affect your ability to qualify for the discount.
XI. Exercising Your Data Subject Rights
To exercise any of the rights identified above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us via the methods described below. The verifiable consumer request must:
- Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Information, or an authorized representative; and
- Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
To help protect your privacy and maintain security, if you request access to or deletion of your Information, we will take steps and may require you to provide certain information to verify your identity before granting you access to your Information or complying with your request.
